The Styles of Yoga we Offer...

Hatha

Breathe, relax and smile. Whether you are looking for a way to rest and rejuvenate, to release tension or to stretch your sore muscles, Hatha yoga will benefit you. A classical form of yoga that focuses on postures and breathing to bring the body and mind into greater alignment. An uplifting practice to help stretch and tone muscles, calm the mind and detoxify internal organs to bring about a state of relaxation. A great introduction to yoga and for those who like a slower, more meditative practice.

Yin

A wonderful yoga practice to relax and to work deeper into the body. Holding asanas for a longer period of time will encourage lengthening and deep release in the connective tissue, cultivating a peaceful and meditative mind.

Power Yoga

Power Yoga is traditionally called Vinyasa yoga. Vinyasa means “to link movement with breath.” With a variety of options in each pose, this class is suitable for most students after they have taken a few hatha and/or gentle vinyasa classes. Postures are linked together to making a energetic and flowing sequence that will allow your worries to melt away. Be uplifted and inspired!

Power Yoga 1 is geared towards those who have been to at least a few Hatha yoga classes and would like to add some intensity to their practice (suitable for beginner to intermediate students)

Power Yoga 2 is geared towards those who would like a greater challenge in their practice working on arm balances, inversions and more advanced variations of asanas/poses (suitable for intermediate/advanced students)

Hatha/Yin Fusion

The best of both worlds! The first part of this class is a Hatha class to release the stresses and tension of daily life. Then calm, ground and relax as we close with a Yin Yoga practice. Guartenteed to be the best way to end your day.

Hatha/Yin Fusion is on Wednesday nights at 8-9:15pm

Prenatal

Regardless of experience come nourish yourself and feel inspired through a community of pregnant women. Gentle stretching, strength, flexibility, relaxation and breath awareness will be the focus of this class. Moms-to-be will safely condition the body, gain confidence and energize!

This summer we will be offering Prenatal as an 8-week session of which you will choose 6 of the 8 classes to attend. Classes run from Thursday July 11 to August 29th from 7:30-8:45pm

Mom & Baby

These classes provide an opportunity for you to regain strength and flexibility, to bond with your baby in an enjoyable activity and to make friends with other moms. The focus of the class is on movements and breathing specifically for new moms. The babies benefit from the bonding time with mom, baby massages, baby yoga and the stimulating environment of new baby friends. Special attention is placed on developing core strength and stability - involving a particular interest in strengthening the back, abdomen and pelvic floor, as well as relieving tension in areas such as the neck, shoulders and back. Previous yoga experience is not necessary to fully benefit from the classes, and women who have practiced yoga before will find these classes a great way to transition back to their pre-pregnancy practice.
